 | 'PROFI' PROFESSIONAL PHONO CONNECTORS
Professional Swiss precision made phono plugs designed to offer substantially enhanced performance with a number of features that overcome significant audio interconnecting problems. A spring-loaded, gold-plated retracting element around the centre contact ensures that when the plug is mated, a ground contact is made before signal. Conversely, when the plug is disconnected, signal is broken before ground. Hence, this prevents damage to equipment, disturbing noises and broken speaker cones. The connector body is solid machined brass with black, coated shell. The solid brass centre pin is gold plated as standard. The outer contact features a split design for extra reliability. Large solder contacts simplify termination and a chuck type cable clamp, which accepts cable diameters from 3.0 to 6.5mm, provides maximum protection for the cable. The connectors are supplied in pairs, one with red and one with black colour identification collar. Maximum rated current 16A, rated voltage 250V a.c.
